Cartuxa
Raised in a Montado ecosystem of cork and holm oaks.
Established in 1963, the Eugénio de Almeida Foundation is a privately-owned charity based in the city of Évora.
The foundation not only boasts vineyards and a renowned winery that produces prestigious Cartuxa and Pêra Manca wines but also encompasses extensive forested areas where Alentejo pigs roam freely, enjoying a diet of acorns. The resulting ham and sausage are dry-cured for 40 months, resulting in the outstanding and unique flavour attributed to the Alentejo pig.
We designed elegant black-and-gold packaging to enhance the product’s gourmet appeal and introduced a seal highlighting the natural diet of Alentejo pigs, mainly acorns, to address consumer interest in food origins.
